Welcome to the Lord Leonard and Lady Estelle Wolfson Foundation
Lady Wolfson of Marylebone became a Trustee of the Wolfson Foundation, following her marriage to Lord Wolfson of Marylebone in 1991. Lord Wolfson sadly passed away in 2010. Together they were amongst the UK's leading philanthropists, providing around £35 million each year through the Wolfson Foundation to support scientific and medical research, education and the arts.
Amongst the projects they supported were the Wolfson Education Centre for medical students and the Wolfson/Weston Research Centre for Family Health at Imperial College and the Wolfson Institute for Biomedicine and Biochemistry, the Institute of Neurology, the Wolfson Laboratory for Cellular Imaging and the Wolfson Centre for Medical Physics and Bioengineering at UCL.
The Lord Leonard and Lady Estelle Wolfson Foundation was established in 2012 by a legacy from Lord Wolfson. His written wishes were that Lady Wolfson should continue his good work and play an important lifetime role in the work he so loved and found fulfilling and important for the future.
